Animal Adaptaions
- Many tundra animals have white fur, so they can blend in with the snow(above). This gives them a large advantage while hunting or being hunted. Some adaptations are so great that they turn white in the winter, and brown in the summer.
- Many tundra animals have large amounts of flubber or hair to help keep them warm in the Tundra's glacial temperatures. Some Tundra animals even shed some of there hair in the summer to keep cool.
- Some tundra animals escape the most bitter periods by hibernating or by migrating to the south for the winter.
