Pasque Flower


Anemone patens
This plants flower colors can range from dark lavender to almost white. This plants fruit is a plum. You can normally find this flower on a southward facing slope. Like all tundra plants this flower grows close to the ground.

Monkshood


Monkshood(Aconitum dephinifolium)Poisonous blue hood-shaped flowers. The flowers are about 1 inch in length. Stems range from about 1 to 4 feet in length. The leaves are broad with coarse, toothed lobes.Bloom between June and September.

Lupine

The Arctic Willow has oval shaped leaves and can grow in many different fashions. The Salix arctica flowers are just spikes and they don't have petals. This plant's roots are very shallow due to the frozen ground. Some of these plants have created pestisides to eliminate insects eating them.

Caribou moss
